After a lifetime of work to ensure and preserve Dawsonville’s place as an epicenter of stock car racing in Georgia and beyond, Dawsonville native Gordon Pirkle was enshrined into the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame at its induction banquet on Saturday, Aug. 5.
