Two years ago, Donna Waters had difficulty getting out of her car and walking even a short distance.
"I was too heavy," she said. "I was so fatigued out, that I thought I was going to die."
Diagnosed with fibroid tumors and weighing 324 pounds at her heaviest, Waters knew she had to do something drastic before she lost the battle to live.
"I was sluggish, no energy, felt bad and didn't have the willpower to even get up in the morning," she said. "I had to make myself get up and go. I just wanted to lay around. I thought I was going to die."
Like many who struggle with losing weight, Waters said she tried "everything" on the market, from slimming pills and meal replacement programs, to counting calories and special diets.
But nothing worked for her until she happened across a social media post by a friend touting a nutritional cleansing and replenishing program that guaranteed a transformation.
After just 11 months of proper eating and exercise that included walking and hiking the more than 700 step staircase at Amicalola Falls State Park, along with using a cleansing and fat burning system, Waters had dropped 105 pounds and nearly 10 dress sizes.
"Heck, I went from a size 26 to a size 8. That's drastic," she said.
So drastic, in fact, that people she hasn't seen since taking on the transformation challenge, are amazed to see her success.
"They all want to know what I'm doing," she said. "I tell them it's a lifestyle. I tell them I feel great."
She is also sharing her success story with others as a coach for healthier living.
At 49, Waters is thinner, healthier and happier than she's been in years.
"You don't know what good really feels like until you feel good, and you get up every morning and you feel good," she said.
But she's not finished yet.
"I still have a ways to go," she said.
