The Dawson County Government Center was partially evacuated on Wednesday after a powdery substance was dropped in a courtroom.

According to Sheriff Jeff Johnson, the third and fourth floors of the courthouse were evacuated from 11 a.m. through 2 p.m. while sheriff's office deputies and Emergency Services responded.

The substance was identified by responders as Nontronite, powder that came out of a ball.
