The Dawson County community has been invited to a night of worship service and family fun that will be hosted on Sunday, Oct. 4 at Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze by Silver City Baptist Church and several other local churches.

The service will start at 6 p.m. and anyone in the community is welcome to attend.

Those planning on coming to the service are encouraged to bring a camp chair or a blanket to sit on in the field during the service. There will be music and a message by Brady Holbrook, and then the corn maze will be open for attendees to go through.

Nathan Turner, an organizer of the event, said that the goal is to give community members a chance to attend a worship service with other people, while still staying safe and observing social distancing practices outside.

“We’re trying to go for a service where people can social distance and still get to be in a service together,” Turner said. “It’s lots of churches in the community, and anybody can come.”
