Two Dawsonville men were arrested this afternoon after a standoff with police at a residence near War Hill Park in Dawsonville.

The incident lasted six hours total and was resolved without injury to any parties, Johnson said. A female juvenile was also inside the home and was recovered unharmed.

Jacob Thomas Woods, 31, and Johnny Lee Woods, 36, were booked into the Dawson County Detention Center around 6 p.m. today and have both been charged with misdemeanor obstruction of an officer

Johnson said he expects there will be additional charges.

The road was blocked for several hours and was reopened to traffic around 5 p.m.
