The National Weather Service for Peachtree City has canceled the winter storm warning that predicted snow up to three inches and has issued a winter weather advisory instead.

The advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. today.

Snow accumulations up to one inch are still possible, with isolated higher amounts possible.

"A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties," the advisory states. "Expect snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving."

The advisory instructs drivers to plan on slippery road conditions, which could impact the morning or evening commute.

Otherwise, the temperature today will fall to around 33 degrees by 5 p.m. Wind could gust as high as 30 mph. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent.

The low tonight will be around 20 degrees, with a high of 36 degrees on Wednesday.
