Quarterly forum planned

A quarterly forum for local elected officials and county leaders will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Jan. 25 in the upstairs meeting room at the Dawsonville Municipal Complex.

The forum is a communication tool for leaders to share information about upcoming projects, challenges and opportunities.

Representatives from both county and city government, authorities and organizations are invited to give a 10 minute overview of current and upcoming business.

“I always learn something when I attend a community forum as it gives a synopsis of what is happening throughout the county,” said Linda Williams, president of the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce.

“There are so many important meetings throughout the month, one person cannot attend all of them and this is an alternate solution.”

Although no public comment is scheduled during the informal meeting, officials often engage attendees in the conversation.
