Plant pick up for the Georgia Mountains Master Gardeners and the Lumpkin County 4-H is next Saturday. More than 1700 plants that were preordered through mid-March will be available for pickup from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 13 at the Lumpkin County Road/Recycling Department at 1656 Red Oak Flats Road in Dahlonega. For those who missed the preorder deadline, hundreds of blooming flowers will be available for purchase at the pickup site. All plants are professionally grown in specialized nurseries in north Georgia. Master Gardeners will be in attendance at the pickup site to help with any questions you may have about soil preparation and basic care for the plants you have ordered.
