Make plans now to attend the third annual Dawson County European Pheasant Shoot.

The event will be held on Dec. 3, at the Whitmire property at Goldmine and Nugget Ridge roads. Cost of participation is $275 and includes breakfast and Varsity catered lunch.

Three hundred pheasants will be released, retrieved, cleaned and divided equally among all shooters. Participants should arrive at the field at 9 a.m. for breakfast. The shoot will begin at 10 a.m.

Corporate and shooting station sponsorships are available at $200 or $400 for a sponsorship including shooter.

"Proceeds from this year's event will again benefit the Dawson County Senior Center to aid in the design and installation of a much needed elevator," said Dawson County Government and Community Affairs Director Cathy Brooks, one of the event organizers.

"This is our third year hosting this very successful and popular fundraiser," Brooks said. "Order now. Tickets will sell quickly."

Event is limited to 40 shooters.
