The LifeSouth blood drive will be in Dawsonville until Jan. 18. The first drive successfully ran Tuesday, Jan. 7 at the Dawson County Courthouse on Shoal Creek Road. LifeSouth, which is based in Gainesville, Florida, is a community-oriented blood center that has 28 locations across Florida, Georgia and Alabama. In each of those communities, blood donated goes to local hospitals to help save local lives.
