Good Shepherd Clinic to host scarecrow decorating contest this October

Halloween might look different in 2020 from years past, but the Good Shepherd Clinic of Dawsonville wants to help decorate the entire town.

Dawsonville businesses can sign up to design and decorate a scarecrow to put in front of their business. The contest will start Sept. 25 and run until Oct. 21.

Then, all scarecrows submitted for the contest will be judged by students from Dawson County elementary schools, who will vote on their favorites.

“Something fun needs to happen in Dawsonville,” clinic manager Kay Parrish said. “Why not have fun for a good cause?”

The winner will be announced on Oct. 30. To sign up, go to www.goodshepherddawsonco.org or email goodshepherdclinicdawson@gmail.com

There is a $100 tax deductible fee to enter. All proceeds will go to the Good Shepherd Clinic to continue to provide crucial health care to people of need in Dawson County.
