The Georgia Department of Transportation began paving State Route 183 Monday morning at the intersection of State Route 52 in Dawson County. The paving process will continue through Friday, June 28.

According to a press release from GDOT, paving will occur during the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Flagging will be done during this time to allow traffic to pass through safely, and motorists should expect short delays during this week.

Once paving has been completed, the required striping and signage will be installed.

The intersection will operate as a roundabout beginning July 1.
