Responding units found one vehicle down an embankment.
There were five patients total treated and transported from the scene of the wreck, Thompson said.
Two Dawson engines and med units responded as well as mutual aid from Pickens County and an Air Life helicopter.
"I am very proud of the hard work of my personnel and the Dawson County Sheriff's Department," Thompson said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this motor vehicle accident."
