Authorities are trying to determine what caused a Sunday night fire that damaged a house on Sundown Way in eastern Dawson County.
No one was home when emergency services responded to the call at about 9:15 p.m.
Lt. Stephen Knowles with the Dawson County Fire Marshal's office said the residents were out of town the night of the fire.
It was unclear at press time if the home was insured.
"The fire left the home with quite a bit of damage," said Dawson County Emergency Services Chief Lanier Swafford. "The damage to the home was very heavy."
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Knowles said.
