Dawson County News is on the move.

Effective Monday, the Dawson County News will be fully operational at a new location, just off the square in downtown Dawsonville.

The address is 30 Shoal Creek Road.

"We're really excited about serving the community from this historic location in downtown Dawsonville. We really feel like this new location will place us in the center of Dawsonville, exactly where a community newspaper needs to be," said General Manager Stephanie Woody.

Staff has already begun moving to the new location, a beautiful recently renovated historic home, across Shoal Creek Road from the Dawson County Government Center and law enforcement offices.

"We'll spend the next few days finalizing the transition and readers should see no disruption in news coverage during this time," Woody said.

There may be short interruptions in phone service beginning on Wednesday as crews move phone lines, but staff can always be reached by emailing swoody@dawsonnews.com.

"We look forward to serving the community for many years to come from this new location," Woody said.
