Dawson County’s second Movies in the Park event will be hosted at Veterans Memorial Park on Friday, Oct. 2, with a showing of “Trolls World Tour” and other activities.

Event activities will start at 5 p.m. and the movie showing will begin at dusk, according to an event page on the Dawson County Parks and Recreation website. The public pool at Veterans Memorial Park is now closed, but the event will be offered free of charge, with concessions, vendors, a bounce house and more.

According to the event page, safety protocols will ensure the event is safe for all in attendance. Face masks are recommended, surfaces will be sanitized often and there will be six feet between families or groups from the same household.

The event is sponsored by Northside Hospital, Southern Outdoor Cinema, Jitterbug Party Rentals, Frozen Frenzy and Launch Trampoline Park.
