The Corps of Engineers at Lake Lanier recently announced that day use fees will now be collected for recreational season 2010 in various parks where fees have not been charged in the past.

Those parks are Lower Pool East and West, Old Federal Day Use, Long Hollow, Keith’s Bridge and Thompson Bridge.

The cost to enjoy these parks will now be $4 per vehicle. The fee is collected as you enter these parks by depositing the money in an honor vault system, located at the parks entrance.

If so desired, annual passes are available for $30 each at the Lanier Project Management Office at 1050 Buford Dam Road or by mail.

To purchase a pass by mail, send in your name, full address and a check payable to F&A Officer, Mobil, to Corps of Engineers, P.O. Box 567 Buford, GA 30515.

Passes should be received in the mail within two weeks of the office’s receipt of payment.
