Kids of all ages were in awe last weekend when the World Renowned Blanstar Circus rolled into town.

Featuring the Pintado family, the fourth generation of acrobats performed shows Friday, Saturday and Sunday at North Georgia Event Center in Dawsonville.

Originally from Colombia, the Pintados now live in Oklahoma and travel the country wowing crowds with their  gymnastic strength and agility.

Eleven-year-old Johnaton began Sunday’s show with a balancing act, followed by Indiana, 13, being catapulted into the air and onto her dad’s shoulders.

Co-owner Kyle Blan, who performed more than three decades as a ventriloquist on cruise ships and described the traveling circus as children’s entertainment.

“We do this for the kids,” he said as he introduced his sidekick Hanky Panky, a colorful ostrich who kept the children giggling throughout the act.
