The Dawson County Chamber of Commerce will host its 20th annual Chamber Golf Classic Monday at Crystal Falls Golf Club.

This year's event-Tee up Fore Success-will have a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on Aug. 22.

"The annual golf classic has been a tradition for our business community for 20 years," said Dawson County Chamber of Commerce President Christie Haynes. "In celebration of our 20th event, we are offering even greater opportunities for businesses to be spotlighted throughout the day."

Contributions that are made through the event are all invested in Dawson County.

The tournament will include putting and hole-in-one contests, as well as mulligan packages for sale on the day of the event.

Participants will receive lunch provided by Chick-fil-A and goody bags.

Prizes will be awarded for first and second place for gross scores, closest to the pin and longest drive.

Businesses in Dawson County who choose to join the chamber find networking opportunities, greater visibility, credibility and learning resources.

The chamber makes an effort to support its community through volunteer support, event promotion and advocacy efforts.

They also partner with the school system on a number of projects like Chamber in the Classroom to bring local business leaders into the high school to cover a range of topics with future community leaders.

Businesses who would like to partner with the chamber for the event still have that option through various levels of sponsorship including a "Business on the Green Canopy" where a business can actually set up on the green.

For more information on playing or sponsoring the event, contact the chamber at (706) 265-6278.
