Casey Cagle, candidate for governor, announced last week that former Board of Commissioners Chairman Mike Berg, former Sheriff Billy Carlisle, former Sheriff Randy Chester, Dawsonville Mayor James Grogan, Pepper Pettit and former State Representative Clint Smith will serve as the Dawson County leadership committee for his campaign.
“Having this team of community leaders on our Dawson County
leadership committee brings even more momentum to our
campaign as more and more Georgians across the state come on-board to
support our conservative vision for a better Georgia," Cagle said.
"Their leadership will help build our grassroots network in this county
and throughout the region, which is critical for sharing our conservative
message. I am humbled by their support and excited to work closely with them as
we tackle tough issues and create new opportunities for Dawson County.”
"I am proud to support Casey Cagle because he is a proven leader that is
the man for the job," said Berg. "Casey has always been a strong
leader for Dawson County, and he leads on the issues that are important to us.
Simply put, he is the conservative leader that our community trusts."
Cagle is pledging a tax cut for all Georgia taxpayers passed in his
first 100 days, a comprehensive 10-year infrastructure plan and an
economic plan that will create 500,000 new jobs
in his first term. He has also made workforce development a top
priority, and will continue to lead on developing a world-class education
system in the state of Georgia.
