The votes have been tallied and the Dawson County News is proud to announce the Best of Dawson winners.

"With more than 147,000 votes cast, the businesses in this section can rightfully brag that they are the best the county has to offer," said General Manager Stephanie Woody.

For the first time, Dawson County News took the voting for Best of Dawson County online. And the community responded.

"The participation was astounding and we couldn't be happier that you all decided to take part with us," she said.

The winners are featured in a full color, glossy magazine in this week's edition of the paper and are also now available online at bestofdawson.com.

Additional copies of the magazine are available at the paper's office at 30 Shoal Creek Road in downtown Dawsonville.

"In a community that prides itself on being a place where quality of life matters, the businesses in this magazine can lay claim to helping with that motto," Woody said.
