About 40 artists from a Forsyth County-based association will be showing their work this month at the Bowen Center for the Arts in Dawsonville.

It’s an event one of the show’s artists said is well worth the time for art lovers.

“You have everything from sculpture to paintings to more whimsical art like painted screens,” said Dawsonville artist and Sawnee Artists Association member Allen Ferg.

The organization’s exhibition, titled “Bellezza,” will be on display through July 31 at the art center in Dawsonville.

A special reception was held July 10.

Ferg, an artist specializing in sculpture, said the show is not to be missed.

“It’s going to be good,” he said. “Lots of material. It fills two rooms.”

According to its Web site, the mission of the Sawnee Artists Association is “to provide enriching visual arts experiences for the community.”

The organization puts on shows throughout the year, including the annual Bellezza Art Exhibit.
