A 19-year-old woman told authorities she was raped Wednesday night by a man while on the Lake Zwerner reservoir trails in Dahlonega.

The victim was "running around the reservoir trails" when she was sexually assaulted between 6 and 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to University of North Georgia Police.

UNG officials did not comment on whether the victim was enrolled at the school.

The suspect was described as a white man between his late 20s and early 40s, who had a beard, short brown hair and a dark blue or black shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office investigator at 706-864-3633.
