There's still time to register a team in Rotary Club of Dawson County's annual golf tournament April 29 at Crystal Falls Golf Club.

Early entries for the Ft. Lauderdale scramble run through April 22. Entry fees are $125 for individuals or $500 for a four-player team.

The fees includes golf cart and green fees, box lunch, a golf shirt, gift bag, door prizes and a catered dinner. Mulligans will be available to purchase for $25 each and there will be a putting contest.

Corporate and hole sponsorships are also available.

Rotarian Scott Yochum said 100 percent of funds collected from the tournament will stay in Dawson County to support local initiatives.

"Traditionally, with the Rotary golf tournament, we raise money for a lot of different charities. We're going to continue to do that by giving to the places like the senior center, Special Olympics, WEE Books, all the charities we've normally supported," he said.

"But this year, we've put a flag in the ground and earmarked a majority of our funds we're going to raise for the veterans of Dawson County. We're looking for folks who either want to sponsor a hole or form teams and play."

Registration begins at 10 a.m. followed by a noon shotgun start. Prizes will be awarded for closest to the pin, longest drive, most accurate drive and the putting contest, as well as first and second gross and first and second net.

"It's going to be a great day for a great cause," Yochum said.
