Dawson County High School Head Basketball Coach Thad Burgess' boys continued its summer games with a two-day team play at the University of North Georgia last Thursday and Friday.

According to Burgess, the Tigers are still trying to find the right combinations of players in preparation for next season.

Dawson County played several good teams; such as, South Forsyth, Johnson, West Forsyth, North Forsyth and Gainesville.

"We struggled, took a couple of steps up the first night, then fell back the next day. We are struggling against really good competition. Just trying to get our players to believe and trust what we are doing. I am anxious to see how we respond by getting away and playing away from this area. We are still learning where to be and learning how we must play with passion and compete on every play," Burgess said.

The team will play at North Forsyth tomorrow. Saturday, the Tigers will travel to Athens to take part in a team camp at the University of Georgia. Then it's off to Birmingham-Southern for a team camp June 22-24.
