Racers excel in Dacula
Kinsey crosses with good times

Isabelle Kinsey, swimming in the 8 and under age group, set several all-star times for her Dawsonville Racers team during a meet held at the City Pool in Dacula on June 22.

Kinsey finished first in the 50-yard freestyle (42.84), 25-yard backstroke (21.24), 25-yard breaststroke (25.95), and 25-yard fly (20.35) setting All-Star times in each event for the Dawsonville Racers swim team.

Racer Sarah Beth OSaben also set all-star times in the 10 and under 25-yard freestyle (16.27) and 25-yard fly (20.49).

OSaben also finished first in the 50-yard freestyle event in her age group.

The 100-yard freestyle relay team of OSaben, Grace Dorminy, Megan Dixon and Isabelle Kinsey touched the side of the pool in first place, easily outdistancing the second place finishers.

Kaylee Barrett, 12 and under, placed as the runner-up in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle. Barrett was also a top 10 finisher in the 50-yard fly and 50-yard free stroke.

In the 18 and under division, Lauren Dare set an all-star time in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 34.53.

Lauren Dare also captured first place in the 50-yard freestyle. She also finished second in the 50-yard breaststroke and 50-yard fly.

Brooke Dare, 18 and under, placed first in the 50-yard backstroke and 50-yard breaststroke. Brooke Dare also placed third in the 50-yard free.

The 200-yard freestyle Relay team of Lindsay OSaben, Brooke Dare, Taylor Barrett and Lauren Dare finished first with at time of 2:14.29.

Other top 10 placers for the girls team were: Hannah Moulder, 50-yard freestyle, 50-yard breaststroke, and 50-yard fly.

For the 14 and under age group, Erin Jones accomplished a top 10 finish in the 50-yard free, 50-yard backstroke, 50-yard breaststroke, and 50-yard fly.

In the same age group, Linsday OSaben placed in the top 10 in the 50-yard free, 100-yard free and 50-yard breaststroke.

On the boys side for the Racers, Elliott Kinsey posted an all-star time in the 25-yard backstroke in the 6 and under division. Kinsey completed the race with at time of 31.59.

Kinsey finished in second place in the 25-yard freestyle.

In the 12 and under age group, Matthew Wood added an all-star time of 30.88 in the 50-yard freestyle.

Wood also finished first in the 100-yard free and fourth in the 50-yard breaststroke.

For the 8 and under group, Thomas Cameron, placed in sixth in the 25-yard backstroke and 25-yard breaststroke. Cameron finished in seventh place in the 50-yard freestyle. He also competed in the 25-yard freestyle.

The Racers will take to the pool again for the district meet to be held Saturday at the Ruby Fulbright Center in Clarkesville.
