Racers compete at district meet
3 swimmers advance to state

The Dawsonville Racer swim team participated in the District 7 meet in Clarkesville on July 16.

Three Dawsonville swimmers qualified for the state meet that will be held July 19-20 in Tifton. Going to state are Lauren Dare, Brooke Dare and Aidan Kudlas.

Kudlas finished as a runner-up in the 8 and under 100-yard IM and 25-yard breaststroke to qualify for the state meet.

Lauren Dare captured the 18 and under backstroke championship at 50-yards. She also finished in sixth place in the 100-yard freestyle.

Brooke Dare finished in third place in the 18 and under 50-yard breaststroke.

"I would like to congratulate all the swimmers and parents for a job well done this season," said head coach Stephanie Morgan. "A special congratulations to our state swimmers. They have worked hard for a chance to compete."
