Riverview Middle School Head Eighth Grade Boys Basketball Coach Mark Thomason and his team advanced to the semi-finals of the Mountain League Middle School Tournament with a huge 51-23 win over Gilmer County Saturday at Jasper Middle School.

The team will play Union County, #1 seed, Thursday, Feb. 5 at Pickens County Middle School. Tip-off will be at 5:15 p.m.

Bruce Clark led the Eagles in scoring with 18 points. Tyler Dominy also scored in double digits with 10 points.

Other Eagle scorers were: Koby Rogers-7; Josh Scaife-7; Jonathan Erickson-2; Zach Martin-2; Cole Knight-2; Jacob Richmond-2 and Elijah Fitts-1.
