It’s about time…

I tend to think of the passage of time in regard to sporting events. Holidays, in my brain are automatically associated with whatever game is on, and there is always a game. Thanksgiving equals football. Christmas is the basketball holiday., Valentine’s Day is close enough to the Super Bowl that it is actually really convenient, and the Stanley Cup Playoffs usually mark my birthday. Occasionally, I find myself measuring my day by the length of games, such as… a standard football game is roughly four hours long, so if I want a shot at seeing the second half, I have to leave wherever I am by this very specific time. Unless one of the teams call time-out. Then all bets are off because time-out time is different.
