The Georgia High School Association State Duals tournament was canceled Jan. 14-15 due to inclement weather.

The event was to take place at the Macon Centreplex and has been rescheduled for Feb. 25-26 at individual sites to be determined.

Dawson County finished in fourth place at the Area Duals and won’t be able to participate, only the top two schools advance. The two schools headed to state out of Region 8-AA are Jefferson and Banks County.

Banks County will face Dublin and Jefferson will be matched up with Greater Atlanta Christian School in the first round.

The Tigers will play host Jan. 25 to Towns and Gilmer counties.

Matches will include junior varsity, as well as varsity, and will begin at 5 p.m.

Dawson will travel to Chattooga High School on Jan. 22 for the Northwest Georgia Duals. The tournament will begin at 9 a.m. and also includes junior varsity competition.
