Dawson County football player Chase Wilson signed a football scholarship March 19 to play at Faulkner University next season.

The senior offensive lineman is the son of Gary and Karen Wilson.

Chase started on the offensive line for three years for Tigers' head coach Jeff Lee.

"Chase has worked extremely hard to get to where he is right now," Lee said. "He set this as one of his goals and he was able to do the things that would put himself in a position to find the right fit for a college."

Lee said Wilson is testament to the adage of hard work paying off.

"Chase proves that if you buy into what we are doing, work hard at achieving your goals, that your dreams can come true," he said.

Faulkner is located in Montgomery, Ala. The Eagles posted a 9-3 mark last season under second year head coach Brent Barker.
