Weather idles Lady Tigers
Will compete in tourneys over break

Dawson County High School Lady Tiger Varsity Head Coach Steve Sweat’s basketball team was unable to play a scheduled game with North Forsyth on Dec. 17 due to weather conditions.

 

According to school officials the game will more than likely not be rescheduled.

 

The team has been idle since Dec. 11 when it defeated Hebron Christian.

 

The Lady Tigers traveled to Columbus for the Pacelli Christmas Tournament Monday and Tuesday.

 

The Lady Tigers faced Strong Rock Christian and legendary coach A.C. McCuellers in the first round.

 

Depending on the results from the game with Strong Rock, the Lady Tigers will either play host Pacelli or Beulah, Ala.

 

Scores were unavailable at press time.

 

After a short break for Christmas the Lady Tigers will travel to Jasper for the Pickens Holiday Classic.

 

Dawson will play games next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

 

On Monday the Lady Tigers will face Lumpkin County, Tuesday the team’s opponent will be Gordon Central and Wednesday the team will play Darlington.

 

Monday’s game will tip-off at 6 p.m. Both Tuesday and Wednesday’s games are scheduled to begin at noon.
