Track and field participate in tri-meet

The Dawson County track and field teams swept Fannin County and East Hall in the tri-meet at Tigers Stadium March 29.

The boys improve to 10-0 on the season while the girls move to 8-1-1.

Leading the way for the boys was T.J. Wilson who won both the shot put (38’ 8”) and the discus (107’ 6”). The Tigers finished one-two in the mile with Cody Wood winning with a time of 5:02 and Ben McGinnis finishing closed behind with a time of 5:07. The boys also won the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 44.75 seconds.

For the girls, Anna Lowe won the shot put (34’ 1”) and the discus with a personal record of 92’ 1”. Avery Young won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:04.28, and Frankie Muldoon and Jenna LeCours finished one-two in the 800-meter dash for the Lady Tigers.

Both the boys and girls won the 4x400 meter relay to close out the meet.
