Tough course gets Tigers

The boys and girls golf teams lost to Jackson County April 13.

 

The boys dropped a 163-170 decision, while the Lady Tigers were defeated 103-109.

 

The teams played on a really difficult course, The Traditions, at Chateau Elan in Jackson County.

 

The Traditions is also playing host to the Region 8-AA boy’s golf tournament that began earlier this week.

 

Scores were not available at press time.

 

Wesley Bearden led the Tigers with a very impressive even par score of 36 over the 9-hole event.

 

Also posting scores for Dawson County were Casey Compton with a 44.

 

Following Compton were John Chameli and Caleb Samples, both with scores of 45.

 

On the girl’s side, Rachel Dotson finished with a 54 to lead the Lady Tigers.

 

Tayler Hasbrouck finished the match with a 55 for Dawson County.

 

The girls Region 8-AA tournament was held Tuesday at Scales Creek Golf Course.
