Coach Thad Burgess' Dawson County High School boys' basketball team traveled to Jefferson, Jackson County and Banks County last week.

The team played six games against varying levels of competition.

"We are totally starting over," Burgess said. "Having to think so much does not allow guys to just play."

Burgess said gaining confidence was a goal for the summer games.

"Our players gained some confidence by beating Jefferson and Winder Barrow for the week," he said.

The Tigers finished the camp with a 3-3 record.

"Next week will allow us to practice and go over things a bunch before playing Thursday and Friday at North Georgia," Burgess said. "We are trying to put the young guys in as many possible situations as possible."
