Tigers Swim Team makes personal bests in Adairsville

Members of the Dawson County High School swim team work on technique during the summer months.

The Dawson County High School swim team recently traveled to Adairsville to swim against Pickens County, Gilmer County, Darlington High School and Cartersville High School. Coach Linda Sperin said the team had many personal bests during the Dec. 14 competition.

The boys 200 Medley Relay consisting of Nathan Frazier, Garrett Perez, Matthew Wood and Will Mulberry had their best time, 2:10.15.

Garrett Perez and Nathan Frazier placed 3rd and 4th , respectively, in the 200 Individual Medley, and both had personal best times.

Matthew Wood swam the 50 Freestyle in 24.24 and placed 2/31.  Will Mulberry had his best time of 27.65 and placed 12th.  Carter Rexroat also swam his best time of 30.03 and placed 19th.  Nathan Frazier and Matias Lara also swam the event and placed 21st and 29th.

Anna Mulberry swam her best times in the 50 Freestyle with a 38.22 and the 100 Breaststroke in 1:44.89

Matthew Wood placed 1st in the 100 Yard Butterfly.

Will Mulberry placed 4/14 in the 100 Yard Freestyle and had a personal best of 104.51.  Matias Lara placed 12th and also had a personal best time of 1:443.93.

Grace Shippey swam a 1:51.40 in the 100 Yard Freestyle, which is her best time.

Garrett Perez, Nathan Frazier, Will Mulberry and Matthew Wood swam the 200 Free Relay in 1:54.75.  This was the best time of the season.
