Tigers play two close games

The junior varsity boys basketball team played two close games last week.

Both games came down to the very end before Dawson County lost to East Hall, 55-47, on Friday in Dawsonville and Banks County, 54-50, in Homer.

"The Banks game was close throughout," said coach Wes Greer. "Banks got the upper hand on us late and held on for the win."

Jackson Morgan led all Tigers scorers with 14 points.

Tigers Cameron Millholland also scored in double digits with 12 points.

Tigers scorers: Morgan - 14 points, Millholland - 12 points, Terrell Dawson - 9 points, Brandon Abbott - 6 points, Cullen MacDonald - 5 points and Jesse Gee - 4 points.

Against East Hall the Tigers let the lead slip away in the fourth quarter for an 8 point loss.

Dawson led all Tigers on offense with 13 points. He was followed by Gee with 11 points.

Tigers scorers: Dawson - 13 points, Gee - 11 points, Millholland - 9 points, Abbott - 7 points, Stanfill - 6 points, MacDonald - 2 points, Morgan - 1 point and Logan Crumley - 1 point.
