The Dawson County football team released its 2021 schedule on Twitter this week and it might look familiar to some fans, being that it is the exact same schedule that the Tigers played during the 2020 season. 

The 2021 schedule is even in the exact same order as was played last year, but with home and away games flipped, so if a team traveled to Dawson County in 2020, the Tigers will travel to their school in 2021 and vice versa.

The Tigers finished 6-6 last year and placed third in Region 7-3A. They upset Adairsville in the first round of the 3A state playoffs to qualify for their fourth Sweet 16 birth in a row. The Tigers lost in the Sweet 16 to Oconee County, who would go on to lose the 3A state championship in overtime. 

This upcoming season will start August 20, 2021, over two weeks earlier than last season, which was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
