Tiger golfers are in full swing

The Dawson County High School golf team saw a lot of action last week.

The team played in three matches and came away with three wins last week.

The Lady Tigers are currently 3-0 and the men's team has a 4-0 record.

On March 2, the team played at Chestatee Golf Club against Chestatee High School.

The girls came away with a 152-197 victory.

Madison Caldwell led the girls. She had a nine-hole total of 37.

The boys' team also came away with a 171-217 win.

Low medalists for the Tigers were Jake Phillips and David Ford, each shooting a 41.

The teams played a tri-match with Forsyth Central and Gilmer County on March 4 at Crystal Falls Golf Course.

The Lady Tigers defeated Gilmer County, 148-195, and Central.

The Central team didn't get a score because it only had one golfer.

Once again, Caldwell posted a low score of 41.

Head Coach Wes Greer's boys' team defeated Gilmer County, 165-201, and Central, 165-179.

Phillips was low-scorer for Dawson County with a nine-hole total of 39.

In the final match of the week, the boys' team battled adverse weather conditions to come away with a 173-177 win over North Forsyth.

Phillips was low medalist with a score of 38.
