Tennis teams celebrate success

The boys and girls tennis teams from Dawson County High School held their awards ceremonies last month in the school's auditorium.

Boys coach Chris Lundy presented two awards.

The Tiger Award was earned by Max Muldoon and MVP was awarded to Spencer Roper.

Boys' team members this season were: Seniors - Luke Branson, Grant Shope and Dakota Wood. Juniors - Jeremiah Freedlund, Tyler Griggs and Spencer Roper. Sophomores - Craig Butler, Max Muldoon and Lane Venters. The lone freshman was Riley Westbrook.

On the girls' side, Coach Jamey Bearden gave her Tiger Award to Whitney Glover and MVP went to Hannah Velcoff.

Participating on the girls' team this year were: Seniors - Sarah Anglin, Lora Brown and Kristi Hyams. Juniors - Whitney Glover, Hannah Porter and Hannah Velcoff. Sophomores - Miranda Abe and Abbigale Brown and freshmen McKenzie Hamby, Brooke Lewis and Lauren Morgan.
