The Dawson County High School baseball team held its awards ceremony recently on the school's campus.
Coach Thad Burgess' team ended the 2014 campaign with a 15-11 overall record and a 10-11 record in Region-7AAA play.
The team finished in fifth place in the region, just outside of the state playoffs.
Buford captured the region championship and is currently playing in the semi-finals. Second place went to North Hall with West Hall and White County rounding out the region.
Dawson will be graduating three seniors: Harley Pruitt, Logan Burt and Colton Chester. At the banquet, Burgess presented each player with their jersey.
Burt finished the season with a 6-1 record pitching. His ERA was an outstanding at 1.11. Burt also batted .405.
Chester hit seven homers, six in a row at one point in the season, and batted .342.
Pruitt was a three-year starter for the Tigers. His highlight of the season was a single to defeat Buford at home.
"It will be difficult to replace these three fine seniors," Burgess said.
