The Dawson County High School boys soccer program held its awards banquet May 21 at the Dawson County Board of Education Community Center.
Coach Jed Lacey's Tiger team posted a 13-4 overall record this season.
The Tigers finished in fourth place in Region 7-AAA and ended the season following a state playoff game at St. Pius X in Atlanta.
Athletic Director Grady Turner welcomed all the guests to the banquet. An invocation was given by Chess Hamby and then a dinner was served.
Presenting awards at the banquet were junior varsity coach Benji Edwards and varsity head coach Jed Lacey.
Receiving awards were: Rising Tiger Award-Alan Sanchez; New Comer of the Year-Cole Edwards; Best Supporting Player-Brandon Lund; Coaches Award-Chris Bywaletz; Iron Tiger Award-Austin Stewart; Defensive MVP-Gunnar Armstrong; Offensive MVP-Josh Lund; and MVP "Golden Boot"-Brooks Fulford.
There are only four seniors on this year's squad: Armstrong, Josh Lund, Jose Miranda, and Bywaletz.
Also on this year's varsity or JV team were:
Juniors: Drew Bishop, Cole Edwards, Brooks Fulford, Ben Leaver, Taylor Mays, Jacob Miller, Cameron Millholland, Sam Muenchen, Jake Smith and Austin Stewart;
Sophomores: Zach Arceneaux, Dalton Edwards, Drake Garrison, Kevin Gonzalez, Brandon Lund, Sal Mendoza, Josh Sage, Randy Schultz, Logan Spindle and Jose Zuniga;
Freshman: Ty Anglin, Mateo Fritz, Andrew Hafermalz, Rigo Jansen, Armando Jimenez, Christian Maldonado, Jason Mays, Alan Sanchez and Jonathan Steele.
Managers on this year's team were Katelyn Hardegree, Sarah Rogers and Paige Reece.
