Players honored at dinner
End season with 13-15 overall record

Dawson County High School Head Baseball Coach Jimmy Pruett and his Tiger baseball team held its end-of-year banquet May 22 at the high school.

The Tigers finished the season with a 13-15 overall record and was 11-10 in Region 7-AAA action.

Pruett's team came in fourth place in the region and qualified for the state playoffs where they lost to Blessed Trinity. The Titans advanced to the state semi-finals.

Grady Turner, athletic director, welcomed all the parents and guests.

After the invocation by John Wilkie, the team was served dinner before awards were presented.

Following dinner coach Steven Moates presented awards to the junior varsity team.

Pruett gave senior awards to David Chester, Koby Rogers, Hunter Wehunt, Jacob Wilkie, Mitchell Putnam, Jeffrey Partington and Elijah Fitts.

Other members of the JV and varsity were presented either a varsityy letter or a letter of participation. Juniors on this year's team were Logan Burt, Harley Pruitt and Colton Chester.

Sophomores: Brandon Barker, Dylan Heller, Zach Buchan, Keaton Coates, Logan Crumley, J.T. Eggert, Taylor Gaddis, Cooper Kicklighter, Austin Martin, Tucker Welling and Levi Whitmire.

Freshman: Drew Barnes, Brody Chester, Jessie Mitchell and Brandon Monkus.

Eigth graders who participated on the junior varsity team included: Jacob Adams, Kolton Brumbelow, Parker Cantrell, Trey Dixon, Colin Glover, Brice Henson, Joshua Morley, Brandon Mullinax, Hunter Ramey, Korrie Rogers, Sam Stowers, Dillon Tierney and Austin Young.
