The boys and girls golf teams celebrated the 2013 season with a banquet at Dawson County High School last week.

Coach Wes Greer recognized accomplishments of sophomore Madison Caldwell and Levi Samples.

Caldwell won the girls Region 7-AAA individual championship and finished in fifth place at the State Class AAA championships at Chateau Elan earlier this month.

Samples, a senior, competed in the boys Class AAA championship at the Reunion Course in Hoschton.

Athletic Director Grady Turner welcomed guests to the banquet. Russell Burt blessed the food before dinner was served. Burt was a community coach this season on Greer's staff.

Greer presented awards to Jake Phillips, lowest scoring average for the entire season. The Most Improved golfer went to David Ford.

Senior awards went to Peyton Loudon, Casey Compton, Levi Samples, Clay Glover, Will Anglin and Zack Martin.

Greer presented varsity letters or letters of participation to Lady Tiger golfers Cassidy Byess, Heather Hensley, Taylor Pierce, Martie Rogers, Madison Caldwell and Kirsten Hoge.

Members of this year's boys' team were: John Pulley, Brandon Barker, David Ford, Justin Moore, Jordan Parson, Jake Phillips, Zeb Holder, Woody Perry, Hunter Burt and statistician Coty Greer.
