Lady Tigers’ tennis out in first round of state tourney

The Lady Tigers tennis season came to an end in the first round of the Class AAA state tournament with a loss at Franklin County April 18. It was the Lady Tigers’ fourth straight state tournament appearance, but they haven’t been able to get over the hump with first-round exits in all four previous appearances. Dawson County fought hard but got swept by top-seeded Franklin County in very windy conditions, a condition that played into the hands of the Lady Lions.
