St. Patrick’s Day wasn’t kind to the Dawson County varsity girls’ soccer team.

Head Coach Rick Corwin’s team dropped a 6-0 decision to neighboring North Forsyth High School last Wednesday.

The bright news was that the Lady Tigers rebounded with a 2-0 win over Rabun County in Tiger on Friday.

Dawson is currently 4-3-1 overall and 2-0 in area play.

North Forsyth scored three goals in the first half to take a 3-0 lead into the locker room on Wednesday at Tiger Stadium.

The Lady Raiders continued the strong showing with more goals in the second half to secure the 6-0 win.

North Forsyth is currently 6-2-1 with the win.

On Friday, the Lady Tigers made the long trip to Tiger and came away with a huge Area 15 win over Rabun County.

Scoring for Dawson County was Elizabeth Byard off an assist by Chelsea Terrell.

Terrell was awarded for her unselfishness later as she booted the ball to the back off the net for her own goal.

This week Dawson will travel to Union County for a very important match-up with the Lady Panthers. Kick-off will be at 5 p.m.
