Coach Wes Greer's junior varsity Lady Tigers basketball team played well, but couldn't catch up with visiting Gilmer County last week at home.

The Lady Tigers lost 36-27 to the Bobcats.

The Lady Tigers are currently 1-3 on the season. The team will be back in action Saturday with a game at Towns County and Dec. 13 with a rematch against Gilmer County. Both games will start at 3:30 p.m.

Dawson trailed 21-15 at halftime. The Lady Tigers just couldn't seem to get a basket to trim the Gilmer lead during the final two quarters and lost the nine point decision.

Brooke Wende led all Dawson County players with 9 points.

The Lady Bobcats were led in scoring by Whitley Reece with 13 points.

Lady Tigers scorers: Brooke Wende - 9 points, Hannah Moye - 6 points, Jordan Moore - 3 points, Emily Ayers - 3 points, Cassidy Lecours - 2 points, Madison Shope - 2 points and Alison Honea - 2 points.
