The junior varsity girls basketball team finished its season with a 50-24 loss to Banks County on Friday.
Dawson ended its season with a 2-12 record.
The Lady Tigers battled in the first half and trailed by seven at halftime.
A strong full court press by Banks County led to many turnovers in the second half. The Lady Leopards outscored Dawson 30-11 in the final two quarters for the win.
Alison Honea led the Lady Tigers in scoring with 6 points.
"The girls played hard all year. I do feel they made improvements along the way. We only dressed seven players and had to deal most every game with a number disadvantage, but the girls gave a great effort through it all," said coach Marks Ragsdale.
Lady Tigers scorers: Honea - 6 points, Madison Shope - 5 points, Hannah Moye - 4 points, Brooke Wende - 4 points, Jordan Moore - 3 points and Emily Ayers - 2 points.
