The junior varsity boys and girls cross country teams competed at East Jackson High School in the 5K Eagle Run on Sept. 18.

Allie Costley led the girls with a fourth place finish. There were 75 runners in the junior varsity race. The team finished in second place behind Rabun County.

“I saw her conditioning on the track one day for basketball. It took me a couple of weeks to convince her to come out for cross country. She is going to be a fine addition to our girls team,” Head Coach Brian DeRose said about Costley.
