Using a stingy defense and an opportune offense the Dawson County High School junior varsity Tigers football team defeated Pickens, 14-6, last Thursday in Tigers Stadium.

The Tigers remain undefeated at 3-0 this season.

Running back Zach Guy had a great game carrying the football for Dawson County. Guy scored in the first half to give Dawson a 7-6 lead at halftime.

Dawson's defense took over in the second half. Pickens could get nothing going on offense as the Tigers swarmed all over the Dragons.

With 5-minutes left in the third quarter Dawson put the game out of reach. Quarterback Zack Buchan found tight end Gavin Brown on an 8-yard touchdown pass. The extra point was good and Dawson held a 14-6 lead.

The Tigers will have this week off before hosting Union County on Sept. 29. Kick off will be at 5:30 p.m.
